Ainol dropped us a short email today, informing us of their latest player, little info was passed to us in the email apart from its name, the V3000 and the fact that it would have a 4.3″ LTPS screen, at first i wasn’t really impressed, 4.3″ screen size players have now started to become common for MP4 players, it wasn’t till i realized that it was a LTPS Screen.
The screen will support a whopping 800×480 screen resolution, more than twice that of any similar Chinese MP4 player currently on the market. The V3000 would place Ainol in the same league for screen quality as that of the Cowon A3.
Ainols website gives little more information other than the screen specification, along with this emailed picture we got, we have little more information to go on. However from what we do know of Ainol, they seem to favor Ingenic media chips and from the image we can see two headphone ports - most likely one of them will support TV out. It will most likely also support hi res video playback with your AVI, RM/RMVB and FLV video formats aswell as your MP3, WMA, FLAC and APE audio formats.
Chances are the player will be out sometime in August and if the price war still continues (which most likely it will) in the Chinese MP4 market, coupled with falling flash prices, you will probably see the 4GB version of this selling in the China market for about USD$70 - $90 and an 8GB model selling from anywhere from USD$90 to $110.
One last thing we did spot from Ainols website was i guess their attemt to create some hype around this machine prior to an actual rendered image was released, that the player may support wifi, bluetooth or even GPS. Something tells me that the main selling point of this player will be the screen with no wifi or other such features.
(i doubt thats even the V3000 that is being blurred in that picture)

You mentioned you weren’t impressed until it said it was a LTPS scree. What’s so good about this? I couldn’t find any information.
Cheers,

LTPS screens are VERY nice, images and videos look fantastic on them - far better than your common TFT screen.
