Heres the first of a few Newman player reviews, the first is the Momo X5 AKA Best Meizu M6 Clone, its a pretty decent player, has all the standard capabilities of a RK2706 player, so its very similar to the RAmos RM970, the tactile strip could be better, but i think the fault lies in the firnware, so hopefully firmware updates will improve this

A nice mix between HDD players and TV Tuners has been created by a company called EverBright. You can watch VHF & UHF TV and CATV on its Sharp TFT 8 inch screen! But it doesn't stop there, this nice player has a ton of impressive features including an 80 GB removable hard disk, a 6-in-1 card slot that can use all types of memory cards, FM Transmitter, a 2900mAH battery, & remote control just to name a few. This is an HDD player of course, so you can watch MPEG1-4, AVI, WMV, MP3, WMA and more. This is truly a versatile player that is above the others in many features. Cost you ask? No word yet, but you can be sure that it will not be very cheap. Hey, we can still dream...

SmartQ has released a new firmware and they have done a near complete overhaul of the UI, one of the newest features is the players ability to sort music by artist, album, year, genre and favorites. Sere83 has done a video review of the new interface, check out the GBA emulation, seems the T5 can handle it pretty well.

Meet Eappo, i doubt they have any affiliation with Oppo, other than they want to be somewhat a clone of them and by the looks of it very poor clones. Their product line seems to aimed around low end generic and VERY ugly players....strange that a company would try to make their name be similar to a company that makes very nice, good looking players and they in turn churn out some fugly stuff. Anyways better not diss them too much, their zombied out, pinky ring touting homie might come after me with that generic looking rockchip player:

Oppo's new release the S11 has now been revealed to have some form of motion sensor technology, as well as a wide screen with touchscreen.
In the Chinese articles it makes reference to "buttonless" operation, meaning that the player can be controlled by movements. This is nothing new, remember the Teclast C290 with "G-Sensor"?
From the translation it sounds like it has touch capabilities similar to the windtouch (maybe) and also relies on moving the player to achieve operations, for instance shaking the player to change songs, tilting the player to play games etc

Newman continue the onslaught of new players with the introduction of the MOMO X5
As can be seen from then pics this is really a copy, externally at least of the Meizu M6 player. Not a bad one to copy though, the M6 is a very popular player, and Newman certainly think so as many of their new payers are designed with Meizu in mind
Things differ inside the player as this one again uses the new Rockchip RK2706 chip, but as with the new Teclast M30 they also use a Wolfson WM8987 to handle the audio side of things, meaning this is really a player based around sound as well as video. All the standard rockchip functions apply here, RMVB and AVI video, music sorting etc.
The player even uses a similar sliding touch panel to the right of the player to navigate around the interface, this interfa
RAmos have updated their RM850 to the RM850+.
The original 850 was built on the previously popular Rockchip RK2606 but as times change and developments progress, so must the manufacturers. So Ramos, similar to Onda with their 979+ and 989+ models have taken an old design and popped in a new chip, this time the Rockchip RK2706. This has already proved popular for RAmos as it can be seen in the very popular RM970 widescreen player.
This player looks very stylish, using blue lighted touch sensitive buttons, 2.8" screen but only in 2GB at the moment.

Thanks to Madarin, owners of the Optimus Touch can now update their player to the latest firmware. His hard work will allow many users to install a more stable firmware on to their player. It does seem that there are still bugs in the player to fix, but it does seem to do a lot of under the hood work, making the player more stable and less likely to crashes.

Chinese site pcpop has reported that a live working version of the Meizu M8 will make an appearance at the technology show, CeBit in Germany in March.
Yes, i know what you are thinking, here we go again, but this one could be true. Meizu see to have had a few problems with hardware among other things, but they may finally be getting it right.

The Naer NR-790 brings something new to the MP4 table, it's the first player to allow for 2.4g wireless video recording. Naer seems to be aiming this player as a wireless video recording device for wireless security cameras, allowing for high-definition D1 video and audio (720x480,30fps,720x576,30fps). The wireless video recording feature can also be used with Naers wirless AV senders to record DVD, TV, DVR etc. The Nr-790 is also capable of AV out, 2.5" screeb and USB OTG, so you can use a external HDD for extra recording space.
