Nationite R1 - Low Price - High Performance Player

MP4 Nation has added our first Nationite player, although the R1 is not as advanced or feature rich as the original Nationite X1, it does utilize the new Rockchip RK2706 chipset (as used in the RAmos RM970), providing hi res playback of AVI, RMVB and FLV file format all displayed on a stunning 2.6″ WVGA screen.

The player can handle upto a maximum resolution of 800×480 for AVI in XVid format and 720×480 for RMVB. With 8GB of internal memory, 7mm thick body and internal speakers, the Nationite R1 is only $89.50 or $99.50 with additional accessories and a 2GB microSD card.

Onda VX777 - With Wifi Net Radio, Vid Out, 4.3″ Screen and maybe touch screen!

We were informed of this particular player a few weeks ago, seems that Onda has officially given this player a model number, the Onda VX777. This will be one of the first Chinese MP4 players that will come with Wifi, but its unclear if the Wifi can be used for Internet browsing or just to get Internet radio, either way, its pretty cool.

The Onda VX777, currently, looks to have the same design and have all the same specs (apart from the wifi) as the Onda VX767, the VX777 will also come with a house 3000mAh battery, allowing for 30hrs of audio and 10hrs of video (and from my testing of the VX767, 17hrs+ of video out playback).

Below are the specs that have been forwarded, however i need to add, we were told before that this model would come with a touch screen, lets hope the final version does come with a touch screen interface.

Oh and don’t expect this player to be out till around August (but lets hope for a earlier release).

Tsinghua Tongfang PMP looks quite sporty (with Hi Res TV Out)

Tsinghua Tongfang is a company that normally makes nano clones, but has been making some nice players as of late, seems to be joining the ranks of RAmos and Onda, coming out with a TV-Out capable player.

PMC-M880 looks to use the new RK2706 chip, along with a 3.0″ screen (16:9). Whats most imprssive is that is support rather hi resolution video out - 720×576. If the above image is real, then the video out quality is pretty darn impressive.

JXD 308 - WinCE/Windtouch player

JXD 308

Looks like that JXD is coming out with their own windtouch player, from the picture it seems to have a different interface than previously seen on windtouch players.

I wonder if this player will be sporting different games or apps than seen on previous wintouch players.

Onda VX767 Video Review

We were lucky enough to get a early sample of the VX767, what you see in the video review will be what the player will look like and function when it hits the market. This player should be out sometime by the end of April or start of May.

Teclast T50 - stunning new pics

The Teclast T50 machine is gathering pace

Feat your eyes on these images from Teclast website, i an not a fan in general of Teclast players but this may tip the scale. The new pictures show a bit of change in the overall look of the player and its UI from what was previously released.

RAmos hit back at Onda with 4.3″ super player

Ondas recent release of the VX767, 4.3″ TV-OUT wonder players has obviously got RAmos in a bit of a corner.

So in what appears to be desperation to get something out and on view their art team have been at it agin and mocked up this player:

This is the

V8

Yep, the V8 is basically the RAmos offering to go head to head with the new onda player.

All specs are just rumour at the moment but are as follows:

  • Use of RK2706 Rockchip chipset, as in previous models
  • 4.3″ screen
  • Possible touch screen
  • Possible camera
  • TV-Out functions

These specs and the images are all just speculation, so we wll see how this progresses

KNC - Slim player hits the spot

I have been seeing this around for a while now and i thought i would post it as it looks like a really nice player.

Introducing the KNC M-701:

As you can see, it bucks the current trend at the moment as it does not have a screen that fille the whoe player, but i like the layout, the buttons and the fact that its 6.5mm thick (.. or thin!!)

It uses current flavor of the month, RK2706 from rockchip so ll the standard features are there, RMVB, AVI, PlayFX etc.

Teclast release another uninspiring player : C300

Yes Teclast, once the darlings of the PMP world with their touchy feely C260 and 280 players (we shall ignore the C290 shall we) have released a rather dull and uninspiring player to their expanding Rockchip RK2706 range

Introducing the C300:

so, are we impressed or are you like me and thinking … WHY???

I know this sounds a bit harsh but it seems such a waste of time and resources to be putting out this player now when they already have the M30 and the M25 on the shelf. I think this may be another C290 and will sit, ignored on the shelf waiting for some charitable sole to but it.

So the only thing going for it is that it is thin, no SD slot and all the features that the RK2706 offers that i wont go into again!!!
